E-mail verification

This article is a part of series of dedicated articles, and provides a detailed insight on the KYC verification aimed at verifying e-mail address associated with an Exscudo Exchange or a Fintap account.

Summary

As AML/CFT is the process that, in order to comply with respective regulations, has to be started with no delay, KYC procedures start as soon as an account is registered. This type of verification is therefore the starting level of KYC verification.

Completed on sign up and serves a prerequisite for completing further KYC verifications. To complete, you will need an active mailbox.

When signed up, you can explore Exscudo Exchange and Fintap, including security- and other configuration settings for both products, and chatting (including voice- and video calls) - for Fintap.

Exscudo Exchange

To complete this KYC verification for Exscudo Exchange, one needs to sign up to it (see Signing up to PRD environment section of the article).

A green checkmark indicates successful verification in PREFERENCES (the gear icon in the upper right corner) → VERIFICATION section.

Fintap

To complete this KYC verification for a Fintap account, you need to

1. Download the app from its respective store (Google Play or App Store),

2. Create an account, enter your personal information (name, last name, date of birth and email)

3. You'll receive a letter with a confirmation code. You can either press the link in the letter, or enter the code in the Settings → Personal data section later.


4. The message about your email being confirmed should appear.

After successfully completing this step, your current KYC status is marked by Tier 1 passed badge with a green check mark next to it.
